The top start

Last Friday, the top start was given to the JP54 « Notre Méditerranée - Ville de Nice » for the Pure Ocean Challenge

On board, the skipper Jean-Pierre Dick accompanied by 5 committed entrepreneurs, all motivated to try to beat the record Bermuda > Lorient, or 2,880 nautical miles to sail through the North Atlantic.

The reference time is 12 days, 23 hours and 16 minutes.

They spent the last few days training under 10 to 15 knots of wind, with a superb night sliding under spi with luminescent plankton illuminating their wake.

The crew took possession of the JP54 by debriefing each maneuver so that everything goes as smoothly as possible during this record attempt.

Jean-Pierre has full confidence in this team because everyone has been careful and studious.
